Fiber-Rich. Natural. Delicious. Sustainable.

WHY DO WE NEED FIBER?

On average, we consume around 6x less fiber than our ancestors did. However, fiber is a crucial part of a healthy diet. Here are a few benefits of fiber besides giving you a fuller stomach.

  • EASIER DIGESTION

Fiber helps regulate digestion and prevent constipation by adding bulk to the stool and promoting regular bowel movements.

  • STRONGER IMMUNE SYSTEM

Dietary fiber provides food for the friendly bacteria in the gut, which can improve gut health and prevent conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome.

  • STABILE BLOOD SUGAR LEVELS

Fiber can help slow down the absorption of sugar in the gut, helping to regulate blood sugar levels.

  • LOWER CHOLESTEROL LEVELS

Fiber, especially soluble fiber, can help lower cholesterol levels and reduce the risk of heart disease.

FIBES SUPPORTS YOUR HEALTHY GUT MICROBES WITH NATURAL INGREDIENTS

  • PSYLLIUM HUSKS

Psyllium is a bulking fiber. It soaks up water in your gut. This makes bowel movements much easier and can help promote regularity without increasing flatulence.

  • FIBER EXTRACTED FROM CITRUS FRUITS

Citruses have a higher proportion of soluble fiber which is generally viscous and delays gastric emptying which, in humans, can result in an extended feeling of fullness.

  • SOLUBLE GLUTEN-FREE OAT BRAN

Oat bran is a goot source of Beta-glucans which help with the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels, which decreases the risk for cardiovascular diseases. (source)

  • MARIGOLD EXTRACT (Calendula officinalis)

Marigold extract possesses several potentantioxidants, including triterpenes, flavonoids, polyphenols, and carotenoids. Antioxidants are beneficial compounds that neutralize the harmful effects of oxidative stress in your body. (source)

  • TURMERIC

Turmeric is a natural source of curcumin. Curcumin has powerful anti-inflammatory effects and is a very strong antioxidant. (source)

  • ALOE EXTRACT (Aloe vera)

Some preliminary research suggests that aloe vera syrup could help treat and reduce the symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). (source) Other early research shows promising results for using aloe vera extract to treat irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) (source).

How should I eat Fibes?

We like to eat our fibes in the morning together with breakfast, before lunch or in the afternoon as a delicious and nutritious snack. Since it stores well and is in a tough package, throw one in your bag in the morning. You'll have a snack waiting for you whenever you're running low on energy or getting hungry.

We recommend eating Fibes for at least a two week period to begin seeing effects. If you are satisfied with the results, we recommend adding Fibes to your daily diet.

What effects can I expect from eating Fibes?

A single pouch of Fibes will help you relieve hunger and help keep you full and productive until your next meal. You'll probably feel better about taking care of the little friends in your gut as well.

Eating Fibes regularly is where the real magic happens. In addition to having a delicious and nutritious snack ready every day, consuming the daily recommended amount of dietary fiber has many benefits such as:

Improved digestion - Fiber helps regulate digestion and prevent constipation by adding bulk to the stool and promoting regular bowel movements.

Stronger immune system - Dietary fiber provides food for the friendly bacteria in the gut, which can improve gut health and prevent conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome.

More stable blood sugar levels - Fiber can help slow down the absorption of sugar in the gut, helping to regulate blood sugar levels.

Lower blood cholesterol levels - Fiber, especially soluble fiber, can help lower cholesterol levels and reduce the risk of heart disease.

What does Fibes taste like?

Fibes has a pleasant natural fruit taste depending on the exact recipe. It has an enjoyable mild and balanced flavor - not overly sweet and just the right amount of acidity. It's quite viscous, which is ideal for relieving hunger. We have put a lot of effort into making it enjoyable for everyone. We hope you'll love it as much as we do!

Can I eat too much Fibes?

The USDA's recommended daily intake of fiber is as follows:

Women under 50: 25 to 28 grams per day
Men under 50: 31 to 34 grams per day
Women 51 and older: 22 grams per day
Men 51 and older: 28 grams per day

Fibes has around 6g of fiber per pouch. If you have a diet low in dietary fiber, you should not worry about eating too much Fibes. We recommend you to increase the amount of fiber rich foods in your diet. Eating a second pouch a day is totally fine as well.

If you have a diet already high in fiber, we recommend you to not excede the recommended daily intake. Eating too much fiber can lead to bloating, gas, constipation or diarrhea.

Additionally, there are many products on the market stating that they're "Rich in Fiber". We always recommend reading product lables and the source of fiber. For a healthy diet, it is important to have diversity in the fiber you consume. Many products only use inulin or some other single source of fiber, which may lead to over consumption of a single type of fiber. We use a mix of different fibers in our products to ensure diversity. You can read more about our ingredients here: Our Ingredients.

Are there any side effects with Fibes?

Depending on your current diet you may feel some changes happening in your stomach during the first few days of eating Fibes. The sudden increase of fiber may result in feeling a bit bloated or more gas than usual. This is due to the changes and increased activity in your gut microbiome. These effects should disappear after a few days. If they persist, we recommend trying to lower the amount of Fibes, switching to a different recipe or consulting a healthcare or nutrition specialist.

You can also take a gut microbiome test from Elsavie to find out more about your gut microbiome. Find out more: Elsavie Gut Secrets

Does Fibes contain artificial flavors or preservatives?

No, we do not add any artificial flavoring, color or preservatives to our products. We pasteurize the Fibes pouches after filling to ensure the shelf-life of our products.
