What does quality mean to us?

At our company, we understand that the quality of the ingredients we use is essential to the nutritional value and overall quality of the food we provide. That's why we place a high value on the origin, contents, processing, and transparency of the ingredients we use.

We prioritize using locally sourced and organically grown ingredients whenever possible to ensure the highest quality and nutritional value. We also carefully consider the contents of our ingredients, avoiding unnecessary additives and preservatives that can detract from their nutritional value and quality.

When it comes to processing, we strive to use minimal processing methods that preserve the natural nutritional value and flavor of the ingredients. Finally, we believe that transparency is key to building trust with our customers, which is why we make it a priority to be open and honest about the sources and quality of our ingredients.

Overall, our commitment to quality fruit and ingredients is a reflection of our commitment to providing our customers with nutritious, delicious purees that promote health and wellbeing.

We take pride in the quality of our ingredients, starting with our apple pomace. Our pomace comes from freshly pressed, EU certified organic apples grown in our own orchards located in Southern Estonia, where the sunny hills of Otepää provide the perfect growing conditions. We handpick our apples and store them in a cold, dark warehouse until they ripen fully, without the use of any preservatives.

Once the apples are ready for processing, we rinse and sort them to remove any imperfections before crushing and pressing them into juice for our delicious beverages (KODAS). Afterward, the leftover pomace is heated and sieved to remove the stems and seeds before being mixed with other high-quality ingredients to create our products.

In addition to our apple pomace, we source our other fruit ingredients from carefully selected, high-quality producers located in the EU who match our own high standards. This ensures that our customers can enjoy delicious and nutritious fruit purees made from only the best ingredients.

Our fiber mix is sourced from Elsavie, a spin-off from TFTAK who is our main research partner. The fiber mixes are specifically designed to feed and support the healthy bacteria in our gut. We have collaborated with TFTAK for over 3 years on the project which ended with a consumer trial of our products. You can read more about our co-operation and the results of our consumer trial here:

Since a big part of our food is first processed by our gut bacteria and large proportion of our immune cells lie in our gut, taking care of the little ones in our gut is an essential part of a healthy diet. Here's how the ingredients we use help support your gut:

Psyllium husks

Psyllium is a bulking fiber. This means that it soaks up water in your gut. This makes bowel movements much easier and can help promote regularity without increasing flatulence.

Fiber extracted from citrus fruits

Citruses have a higher proportion of soluble fiber which is generally viscous and delays gastric emptying which, in humans, can result in an extended feeling of fullness.

Soluble gluten-free oat bran

Oat bran is a goot source of Beta-glucans which help with the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels, which decreases the risk for cardiovascular diseases. (source)

Marigold extract (Calendula officinalis)

Marigold extract possesses several potentantioxidants, including triterpenes, flavonoids, polyphenols, and carotenoids. Antioxidants are beneficial compounds that neutralize the harmful effects of oxidative stress in your body. (source)

Turmeric is a natural source of curcumin. Curcumin has powerful anti-inflammatory effects and is a very strong antioxidant. (source)

Aloe extract (Aloe vera)

Some preliminary research suggests that aloe vera syrup could help treat and reduce the symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). (source) Other early research shows promising results for using aloe vera extract to treat irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) (source).
